Had a bit of a surprise on my recent bill with extra charges for calling 07013 numbers.
These look like mobile numbers but they are not, they are numbers that people can divert to whatever phone they want and cost something like 75p per minute to call on top of what looks like a call set up charge.
I clearly tried on number many times and got hit for £15 worth of extra costs without actually getting through.
My mistake, I dialed the number and I'll learn from it but if there was a way of blocking my phone from calling these numbers that would be preferable.
If you can help, great. If not hopefully I can save a few people from being stung by sharing this information !
Ring your provider, I'd hazard.
070 numbers are 'personal' numbers and can be (I think) 75p/min from a mobile.
I guess the only ways to prevent calling these numbers would be to place a cap on your monthly bill or just don't ring Buxom Belinda.
