Might be a stupid question - but i have just transfered my money from the HBOS account to another account elsewhere.
All i filed in was the sort code and acc number - i assume this is enough ? There wasnt a field to fill in the banks name etc so is it all done automatically ??

So how do they know what bank to send it to then ?

sort code = bank and branch id.
