Just finished the last episode, anyone else been watching this?
I think its been really well written & a thought provoking look at the first penal colony in Aus.
Yeah very good. A mix of emotions, compassion, reasoned thinking, love and hatred all in one. Survival was the key whilst trading the basic of commodity that being the love or companionship of s woman. Love Jimmy McGoven as a writer / director
That was the last one?! Characters certainly had more depth than those on Poldark, but that's not saying much. Couldn't help thinking they should have made a little more effort to be self sufficient, foraging, planting crops or hunting.
Watched the first one found it awful so gave up on it.
I was wondering about the farming aspect, surely they would have arrived with seed and some animals?
Mind you, if they found impenetrable jungle & hostile natives it could go wrong very quickly. Clearing jungle for farming takes time, time in which 1000 convicts are eating the supplies & livestock.
