Found this courtesy of Nikon... now listening to more of their work, 'tis very nice 🙂

What've you been introduced to from a TV ad?

Nothing personally, but it'd be good if people discover Si Begg's stuff cos of this. Cool ad too.

Heard a song on the latest Matalan advert, so Shazam'd it, and it got me A Fine Frenzy, album called A Bomb In A Birdcage. The track is What I Wouldn't Do, and it's very good indeed. Got the whole album from iTunes for £4.99.

Sigur Ros, because of the BBC advert (was it for Planet Earth) that used Hoppipola. Thanks Beeb!

Jose Gonzales. He did the music for the TV advert where all the coloured bouncy balls are going down the road. The whole album that that song is on is pretty good.

Joanna Newsom, after "Dark Side Of The Blue" was used for some mobile network/cinema collaboration a few years back.

Jackson & His Computer Band did the very recognisable O2 music back when Sean Bean started as their corporate voice. Can't remember what the track was called though.

Love the orange advert.
I've just thought of another. I discovered Stiltskin through this advert. WHAT A |F|ROCKING TUNE!

I could die to that song!

Levi's have done much for my musical education - Marvin Gaye, the Steve Miller band, t-Rex, muddy waters, The Clash... Shaggy all from 1990's levi's ads. Jose Gonzalez from the Sony ad made me buy the album which I actually listened to in full yesterday. I too ended buying Tak by sigur ros after watching the BBC ad. We must be advertisers dreams - play music on t'telly and ten mins later you're on iTunes 🙂

I discovered Reef when Naked was used on a mini disc advert way back when. I got tickets to see them in Kilburn for about £6, then a week before the gig they released Place Your Hands and got famous....Good Times

Was reminded of this as he has a new album (well a re-release) out soon.

Not as much of a novelty act as you might imagine 🙂

Moby!

Nah, only joking.

I might have heard Les Rhythm Digitales on the Citreon advert before I heard it in real life.

One of her tracks was on an advert for hair products a few years back ( the one where they're army recruits) rubbish advert though
