In Hull they appear to be attacking a car garage "owned by foreigners" and smashing up all the cars that are there being repaired.

Leeds library 1pm. About 15o fascists and 300+ on our side (Stand up to Racism counter) of a stand off with the police in between. Chanting, shouting, goading, handbags. After about an hour they moved off, to march round the centre. They returned at 2.30, probably a few more, and the atmosphere was a bit more serious, but they decided to go for the police as far as we could see. We left at about 3, I think the serious fascists were penned.

Well I don't think that the far-right protest ever materialised in Central London today. To be fair London is not friendly territory for the far-right.
There was the usual small group of 50-100 zionists along the route of the Palestine Solidarity demo though. I have never understood why the police believe that it is appropriate for the zionists to specifically stage a demonstration along the route of a pro Palestine one.
London is a huge place they could easily stage their demos in support of Netanyahu far away from the pro Palestine demos. Obviously it is designed to antagonise supporters of Palestine and nothing else, so why do the police think it is appropriate to allow them to do that?
On the plus side it must be hugely demoralising for the 50-100 zionists to stand there whilst literally tens of thousands of Palestine supporters endlessly walk past them. I think the organisers are claiming 100,000 today but I suspect that 80,000 might be more realistic.

@mert I live a mile from Hull City centre to the west in an area with a fair few challenges but the city has a strong history with Wilberforce and quite a strong activist/arts scene. There was a positive counter demo today thankfully. I bet the families in Southport are going through two lots of trauma now after seeing this horrendous hijacking of the incident and subsequent rioting.

I've seen it on twitter, by the time the police arrive it looks like he's gone on the attack against one kid while the tough guy melts that were previously kicking him are now shouting and filming. Another one where you need the full version to understand why he seems to be the aggressor, and the police are responding to what they actually see.

The day before the horrific events in Southport one of my neighbours had friends around. Super loud conversation you couldn’t avoid overhearing (I was outside fixing bikes). The short version is that one of the guests was adamant that a civil war was coming to the UK, and would be caused by Muslims, but that “we” shouldn’t wait and should “fight back” now. All that followed was actually very USA focussed (gun laws etc). There’s a lot of international and internet carried incitement and affirmation of these views and actions.
