After a 3 day high in Krakow with 10 of my best buds, we all left totally elated with too many great moments to possibly remember at once.
It had it all, great (cheap) beer, great atmosphere, great location, amazing women... and adventure.
I even struck up an amazing conversation with an amazing local girl until the sun came up (I was dressed as a nurse at the time so still can't fathom how I managed it)..
I've seemingly crammed into one weekend what I managed in the previous 5 years.
Trouble is, im home now 24 hours later and feeling thoroughly depressed.
I was bang up for my wedding, and despite just having the best weekend of my life, I now feel like life in Blighty is mapped out for me till the day I die, and if im honest, I think im having my first wedding jitters.
aren't I?

is this normal?
will I die?

classic case of becoming tied down to your misses & boring, a great weekend away is alien to you & now your back at it, your over whelmed, get out with the lads more & otherwise carry on as normal.

p.s stop leaving a paper trail ffs

Looks like you are not ready to settle down yet having found Krakow.

Your heart is still partying by the looks of it and your head is probably struggling to rationalise all those wonderful time gone.

I didn't ever have pre-wedding jitters, but then, I didn't have a stag night either... Coincidence?

Probably not, unless she reads this

I even struck up an amazing conversation with an amazing local girl until the sun came up (I was dressed as a nurse at the time so still can't fathom how I managed it)..

I would also suggest not driving anywhere as you may still be pissed, or at least not thinking enough to post this using your real user name

"A change is as good as a rest" and "The grass is greener on the other side" spring to mind. The problem, once you have that greener grass, is that you still have to cut it. Once you start cutting it regularly, it doesn't seem so green.
Think back to when you first met your soon to be Mrs. Did every thing seem better then? What about when you got a new bike?
You need to face the realities of life, embrace the good times but be realistic about the more mundane stuff.
Then take some time to review what is actually happening in your life and be very aware that there are many downsides of being a free spirit.
The next thing I'd do is remove the topic on this very public forum or some one may make the decision to call the wedding off for you.

Getting married doesn't mean you have to stop doing fun stuff.

Your OH may also like adventures, travelling, meeting new people etc etc - to be able to do all that fun stuff with the person you love is surely the greatest thing ?

If your OH has a life of domesticity mapped out for you both, with a mortgage and a two week holiday at centre parcs every year - you need to ask yourself some questions.

Life is for living - live it!

If its any help the girl was only trying to get you to fall in love with you and marry her so she could move to the UK so lucky escape really. Obviously the real wife to be isn't the woman of your dreams though if you are sad at missing this other girl.

As above your obviously not ready to settle down if you feel like life willbe too dull without all this stuff. How old are you?

Solution -

Come and live in my town. With mass imigration and economic migrants it's like living in Krakow (with a small peppering of tidy polish girls)

*Alas nurse outfits are not included*

Classic case of mixing depression up with guilt!! You have just been throwing hard earned money at drink and lap dancers, got bagged off !!! Seen it many times, you will be visited by the bogey man for the next several nights waking up in hot sweats with the most weird dreams, you should be fine by the weekend!!!!

perhaps it's more the fact that you desire to wear nurses/womens clothes all the time?

I had no pre wedding jitters, then again my stag do ended up at G.A.Y. with me in a lilac 70's lounge suit so what do I know 🙂

Normal to feel a bit low when you're just back from holiday. Normal to feel a bit apprehensive about a big change in your life. But - assuming you do love your OH - good things are coming for you. Just don't let it get boring. That's up to you. Buy a new bike.

oh dear come back from your own stag do with jitters about getting married.

Aren't stag do's supposed to be so horrific you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who wasn't there?

If you felt fine about marriage before the weekend then it's just pre-wedding nerves I guess, if you had worries before then have a think, if not then grow a pair and stop posting about it with your account 🙂

isn't get a grip three words?

Sounds like the bride to be found his post, wrote a quick comment about how it's all fine, and gave herself 2 weeks before anyone starts looking for the body...

I know it's a bit of a cliche and everything and you are at risk of reductive stereotyping...... but when I went to eastern europe (Slovakia and Hungary anyway), there really did seem to be a very high proportion of very good-looking women around.

There are lots of intelligent and interesting girls in Spain too, definitely something amiss in this country. You can find some top totty in Chester mind...

"The girls from X country are much nicer than here" comments IME tend to come from blokes in this country who lack the social skills to meet/attract/keep british women. They then go on holiday to touristy destinations (and lets face it even the countries without a thriving sex industry tend to employ attractive genial ladies to get blokes to part with their cash) and come home raving about the place they've just been to. Not exactly indicative of the general populas I'd have thought. Pretty sure there's a good mix of nice/nasty/friendly/bitchy/mental women in every country in the world.

(not aimed at anyone on here, just saying)

D0NK - yeah I get what you're saying, but have you ever been to Eastern Europe? I dunno, maybe it's something to do with the Slavic look fitting in with current norms about beauty etc (and maybe that we have relatively high obesity rates), but it is quite striking. I mean, I've travelled a reasonable amount and never noticed anything like it before.

I know it probably makes me sound like some kind of lech, but it's difficult not to notice it IMO. I never really spoke to many of them apart from people working in bars/hotels etc so I couldn't tell you whether they were any nicer/more intelligent/interesting than people in the UK but I doubt it.

Meanwhile the local Geordieland newspapers reported a STW member called DONK visited the Geordieland night scene and was "scientifically probed" by the local birds and later eating alive ... 😆

Have to agree on the Eastern Europe thing - I'm in Romania right now and a much larger percentage of the girls here are utterly stunning compared to the UK.

I'm here for work however, and have an amazing gf to go home to on Friday though, so make of that observation what you will!

Sorry bollocks to the stereotypes. Maybe you live in poor/common parts of England.

English girls are tops. Fact.

Most eastern European girls you talk of have a few years tops before they go Slavic.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been married twice (well, still married to No. 2) and still have the urge to travel and see the world like I should have done when I was 25 or something. It sits at the back of my head and tells me that there are better places, more exciting places than Cambridgeshire. it passes quickly though. I still have my health and at some point I'll see the places I want to.

Generally speaking Eastern Europeans, Scandinavians, Southern Europeans, South Americans and South East Asians all seem better. Actually most countries seem to have better looking women than is the case in the UK, it is a shocking state of affairs and something must be done about it.

Same goes for the men too if ever a nation was hit with a collective ugly stick it is here. 🙁

I'm tempted to post a pic of my stunning mrs who is 13 years my junior. No money parted hands either. Admittedly she did move from Oxfordshire to Mansfield but she's very attractive & intelligent - juss trying to re right the rocking boat our British women seem to be on

As for Alan partridge quotes .... Let's not get bogged down in this whole gay vipers nest
