Has anyone else had issues with getting AVG updating on Vista? I have removed whatever anti-virus was already on here (McAfee i think) and stopped Windows defender and then re-installed AVG to no avail.

Any previous expreience out there?

Cheers...

Sorry can't help, except to say I use both and no problems......

Although every once in a while there is a problem at AVG's end and it won't update the latest "things it updates", but does an hour or so later. Could just be that.

They should work fine together, but the bloody thing won't even start and go through the initial wizard ๐Ÿ™

The PC is a Dell, if that helps anyone!!

I had problems with AVG and vista, I ended up with my formatting my disk and starting again with Avast. Don't use it.

I have had some trouble with this also, here's my tips
1 - Get the very latest version of AVG
2 - Mak sure you have run the Macafee removal tool (from their own website) as using Add/Remove programs is not enough these days. Macafee Advice Clicky
3 - Once you get AVG installed and happy you can disable Vista's annoving monitoring of your perfectly good installed AV software.
