Anyone had one of these I'm having a couple around my spine next week and I'm not thrilled TBH.
Why?
Should be fine as long as the surgeon doesn't sneeze as the needle goes in...
I've been told they are painful (which is not too much of an issue) but also experimental and not all that well proven to work. What I have hurts and I want it fixed.
sorry -= why have it? - whats the condition and what will it do?
Bad back?
Google says :-
ABI - injection of blood plasma in the hope that the concentration of "growth factors" present in the blood will stimulate healing of tendons
I don't feel I've had a particularly accurate diagnosis. Essentially I have a painful coccyx that is mostly chronic but sometimes acute caused by a lovely pedal miss landing the bike (it bent a thomson). I'm insured and so far I've had two consultations and an MRI which have lead to it "not being skeletal" so it's prolly tendons and or ligaments. They propose the above but I was given to understand that steroids was a move proven method. I don't mind being a early adopter but.....
I would be asking the doctor how many of these he has done and with what results.
Sounds sensible but like all proles as soon as the doctor speaks it's just an OK from me, only later to I have the balls to qustion it.
I've never heard of it, but "spine" and "hope" aren't two words that I'd particularly relish hearing in the same sentence (other than this one).
