The wheels were definitely picked up. By City Link. I don't have the tracking number, I was at home in bed (the wheels were picked up from my work address whilst my colleague was there), you'll have to take my word for this
Honestly, people wont. Get the tracking number from your colleague and mail it this morning. It's the only way you can prove that it's been sent. As you already have several "Where is mboy?" posts you might see a pattern of unhappy buyers, perhaps gaining a reputation. Perhaps thats why people become reluctant to take your word for it.
Is this the bit where I turn out to be the baddy after all? Dan dan daaaaah!
Perhaps if mboy DIDNT have a rep for being crap at sending stuff (see the now 4 threads asking if others had crap dealings with him) then we could cut him some slack. But he is clearly pretty disorganised.
Oh and to try and turn it around on the OP suggesting they're going to be claiming the wheels are rubbish / faulty and you'll be out of pocket is just fantasy.
MTFU and get your shit together. Or dont take peoples money if you're not going to get stuff sent out promptly.
I bloody love this thread.
So we've failed today's literacy test already then it seems!
I would think that slagging the OP isn't going to do your reputation much good for future classifieds sales, or actually resolve the issue.
I don't understand why you can't provide a tracking number; did the courier not email it to you?
Bugger it, burn him I say! ๐
mboy - I think your history in the 'failed to deliver and been outed on stw as a result' stakes hasn't helped you here.
City Link would have given your colleague a tracking number - getting it to the OP would take little effort and avoid any further confusion.
Perhaps thats why people become reluctant to take your word for it.
You, know I'm increasingly coming to the opinion that it's none of "people's" business.
You'd ordinarily get some kind of receipt as proof of collection from City Link, at least we do when we use them, which has the tracking number on it. You should also be able to use that to see when it was collected and when it was signed for, and by who (or is it whom)?
I feel this thread may be drawing to a premature conclusion...

I phoned him earlier, he'd lost the piece of paper...
He's now found it...
[Tracking link redacted as it contains personal information]
Currently out for delivery between 13:00 and 15:00 today it says!
ANY normal, reasonable person would try to solve a matter entirely privately no?
The number of people who put in an eBay/PP dispute a few days afterwards, without getting in touch or anything, really winds me up.
*takes a 3rd biscuit*
I wanted to buy some forks off him, but after many unanswered emails, and a post on here to try and alert him to the fact, i got a response, and a different reason why emails werent being answered. By this time i had given up. Just man up. To blame the OP is really not on.
I did try to resolve it privately, you weren't answering my emails.
'Too busy' is not an excuse.
You, know I'm increasingly coming to the opinion that it's none of "people's" business.
Most people would agree with you, but some people might not.
Peoples, eh?

Better to leave it until more "people" have issues?
I'm just going to clean my bike and have some lunch.
Can we keep the thread open long enough for the wheels to be delivered as I need some closure on this.
But it is peoples business if mboy is selling on here and peoples could get stung.

As the classifieds system essentially runs on trust then this is perhaps the only way people can learn who to walk away from. As they say once is bad luck, twice is careless, third time? fourth time?

The tracking link is on the previous page, so you can check for yourself when they are delivered! I've been refreshing the link several times a minute. I don't want to miss it! ๐
Right.
<mod>
Mboy has been a bit crap (and ill), and has previous (though for context, it seems to be three times in as many years). Kayla1's response has been, let's say "assertive." But it appears to be resolved now as the goods have been posted and paid for.
I'm not prepared to let this thread descend into further speculation and petty name calling - either from our two combatants or the peanut gallery - so let's draw a line under it for now. I'd like to leave the thread open for its conclusion, but I'll be closing it if it descends into further mud-slinging which doesn't help anyone.

Ok? Ok.
Aye, no bother. Assertive is good, right?
I had someone threaten me with a pitchforking when they had made an elementary mistake with the item I sold. I asked them if they'd done it and then they went quiet.
On the other hand, I'm on the OPs side here ๐
I liked your first response better, kayla1 ๐
Edit.
Nice back-pedal-edit there OP ๐

There's goodies and baddies outside of kids films? ๐

I don't mean it should be swept under the carpet. What I mean is, the comments about what people will believe, ultimately they can believe what the hell they want about postage and tracking numbers, it's none of their business.
The only salient points relevant to anyone other than Mboy and Kayla1 are the fact that there was an issue, and how (and indeed if) it gets resolved satisfactorily. "He said you said she said blah blah" is none of our business.
ska-49 - good point. Can the mods sort that?
Sort what, sorry?
I phoned him earlier, he'd lost the piece of paper...He's now found it...
sssoooo close to being thread of the year!
I've never been called a peanut gallery before.
if it descends into further mud-slinging
arggh I've now got Duran Duran's Girls on Film as an earworm and am remembering the vid.
Glad it's all resolved OP.
Hope the OP likes the wheels when they arrive!

As someone who could potentially look at buying something from mboy in the future, I believe it certainly is my business. You don't have a seller rating system, so poor service will come out in such threads
As an aside, it'd be intersting to know the business where a set of second hand wheels are a tax deductible expense...

Ah. Yes, good spot, now fixed.
Jesus what a fanny. Learn when to stop digging mate.
They've just arrived and are exactly what I needed, thanks.
I've closed the PP dispute-
<edited for stupidity>
Sorry it went this far.
I've closed the PP dispute-
After inspecting the goods I hope ๐
Heh.
legend- yes, I opened the box first. All good.
I think there was some new rim tape in there as well, so thanks for that.
