After many many months of uncertainty, working part time in a call centre which was providing about £500 less a month than me and the wife needed to pay bills, my wife being let go by the company who took her on a temp basis with the promise of going permanent even though the really didn't need her and getting very VERY close to losing the lot.........i've only gone and gotten a job.

God damn you could have peeled me off the ceiling

Ha! I always find that when I get back into work after studying etc. There's suddenly a load of stuff you've been putting off buying...

I know PRECISELY what that's like, recently.

It's meant a £6k drop in salary but hey! It keeps the roof and I can buy food...

The sense of relief is enormous, isn't it? 😯
