I also don’t know of any undertakers who have expressed an increase of workload.

Know a lot of undertakers do you?

Hospitals have never been so quiet and empty during this pandemic

I'm slightly amazed that this needs pointing out, but not every hospital bed is the same. Hospitals have also cancelled a lot of elective (i.e. non-emergency) activity to divert resources towards providing more capacity for covid cases, as well as telling a lot of people to only come to hospital in case of emergency.

I'm curious as to whether the 'no atheists in foxholes' principle applies here. If you were in some sort of accident or got ill to the point of requiring medical intervention to save your life, would you crack out this same set of principles? Or is it a more pragmatic approach to wilful ignorance?

Has to be a troll..

If it is, it's one with a very sick sense of humour. I note that it's a new account too. I'm open to them being genuine, but if it is a troll then it goes against forum rules.

But that’s just not true is it? Hospitals have never been so quiet and empty during this pandemic. I also don’t know of any undertakers who have expressed an increase of workload.

But in case you’re not - read this (in fact I think it should be required reading). Jim Down, the author, might have few choice words for your shell-like:

I’m obviously upset by her decision but mass genocide will be a natural selection.

How long until the vaccines start killing people? Are we talking days, weeks, months or years here?

posted it again.

I'm dead curious, what is up with Denver International Airport?

I can answer this. Its actually possible to calculate the average time to death based on age. So currently if you are 50 years old the vaccine will kill you, on average,  in 31.26 years time.

For some reason it kills men slightly quicker than women.

You all shout troll… but maybe just maybe this individual is being entirely genuine, and is in fact just not very intelligent

Plenty of example of these people round the world, they are filling up hospital beds in the US at a fairly horrific rate

And there it is..

I told myself I would join in the topic and debate until I get personally attacked or get called a troll. I knew I'd be the minority of opinion but I don't expect adults to act this way just because someone holds a different view to them. I knew it wouldn't be long before the personal name calling became evident.

So I leave this here.. have a good week all.

oh oh I know this one!  (I had to look it up the other day) There's (in no particular order) A demonically possessed horse statue that's been erected on the site of a Indian graveyard (obviously). There's a tunnel to NORAD (over 90 miles a way) the murals on the walls are covered (if you know what to look for) with pictures of the crypto fascists' new world order and penis worship...

Oh and some people think the runway layout resembles a swastika!

It's fast become one of my all time favourite conspiracy theories

What did you honestly expect when you’ve provided ZERO credible evidence?

to be fair most have no issue with it if you can back it up with some kind of fact based or even semi fact based reasoning.

so far your here throwing out nonsensical controversial statements and claims with no reasoning and expecting no rebuttal - then after all that spinning it round and looking for sympathy on the rebuttal .

classic troll playbook that.

You knew that this would be an emotive subject for those of us who've lost loved ones to Covid too. You also know that there's a gulf of difference between a strongly held opinion and a verifiable fact.

your here throwing out nonsensical controversial statements and claims with no reasoning and expecting no rebuttal

Precisely this, there have been a number of questions inviting you to explain your opinion but instead we've seen a number of claims from you. The forum adults would've appreciated some evidence to support your statements, but a number of quite pertinent questions went unanswered.

I work with a Finn. Or do I? Admittedly I've not met him for real for about 18 months so maybe it's an elaborate hoax.

I've also just spotted WayFair right at the top. I always knew they were dodgy for some reason I just couldn't put my finger on why.

Me too, I've a family member who is prone to the odd batshit conspiracy theory and who is herself half-Finnish. I might slip this one into conversation just to see what happens.

I would like to humbly apologise for giving him the benefit of the doubt earlier. Trouble is that there appear to be a lot of people who genuinely hold extreme batshit conspiracy views and are simply expressing them, even though they are so ludicrous that trolling would be the most obvious explanation.

I don't know any undertakers but my brother in law works as a probate executive for a firm of solicitors. While most of the firm were fuloughed/laid off he was kept on because probate was so busy due to the number of people dying.

But that’s just not true is it? Hospitals have never been so quiet and empty during this pandemic. I also don’t know of any undertakers who have expressed an increase of workload.

This is a corker.... why do you think hospitals were quiet? Maybe because all other treatments and issues were cancelled or postponed!?

My wife is a consultant on a cancer ward, where they had to postpone all but the very essential treatments due to COVID, and many of her staff were re-purposed to COVID wards. She is paid for her 40 hour week, but works 85+ hours a week trying to catch up and get her patients the treatment they need. She was warned by her own HR team that there was only one day last month she hadn't logged into her work laptop. She has sat up til 3-4am before then going to work at 7am to make sure all her patients were booked in for treatment. Her radiotherapy machines used to run from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, they now run 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they still are struggling to catch up on treatments.

All that while she watched her own aunt (who was buried on Friday) died of bone cancer on her ward, which had spread to her liver and lymph nodes, as she hadn't wanted "to trouble the hospital" during COVID when she first started getting pain in her leg from the cancerous growth.

They have had 2 members of their staff die from COVID 19 at the hospital, and my wife had initially stayed in a hotel away from us, to protect my Type 1 daughter when there were risks initially reported to diabetics.

My wife caught COVID herself, again most likely at work, and is now left using asthmatics inhalers.

We have lost 3 neighbours via COVID and that is in a small rural village.

All i can say is, we have a civic duty to not be selfish, and to protect others, that is how vaccines work, just because you are selfish enough to think that everything is about you, it is about are duty to others as decent human beings to be part of the solution, not to be part of the solution.

Medical science has probably kept you alive more times than you know.

Ask yourself the simple question, why is that those states in the US that have a high number of Trump supporters, also have a high number anti-vaxxers, also then have the highest number of cases and related deaths, thats simple maths?

One thing i can agree with you on Bliss, is that i don't particularly trust the government, but i do trust those that have spent years training to want to help others, for whom it is a vocation (and often the pay is awful for the hours worked) and who have done an amazing job, DESPITE the Government.

Bliss is showing the typical attitude of an anti-vaxxer. Absolutely refusing to believe fact.

All of us here have had some symptoms from the vaccination - this is the body's typical response. What if it was the real deal. Those that react badly to the jab would probably be in deep shoot with the real thing.

I 'may' have had Covid in December 19 (colleagues came back from Woohan). I really struggled to breath for about a month - when I went to the doc, he didn't mess about and sent me straight to xray. Nothing was known then.

OP is denying the number of deaths - just go speak to a nurse in A&E please - htis isn't made up.

It's a gamble, some folk are fine, some folk not. The virus causes the immune system to go into overdrive, and this often kills you, your own body ! The virus is here to stay - you'll catch it at some point, and so will the rest. Those keeping up with jabs will be fine, those without, may die or indeed end up with long covid.

Tell that to the 2 million people with long covid that this is all a hoax.

It's safe, everyone I know's had it, even my 85 year old MIL, who even a cold will kill her as she's so knackered has been jabbed. If she caught covid, poof dead.

Of the 'one' person I know that won't have the jab, he nearly died of covid (now wants it). So that's 100% of 'deniers' that have nearly died (same reckoning you are using for not getting the jab)

100% of jabbed folk I know have been fine, no-one is dead, no-one was 'ill' but we still don't have 5g, nor have I any graphine body parts - disappointing as I was hoping to save on my Voda bill.

As for it being developed fast, erm, there was huge amounts of money thrown at it, unlimited budgets. It still took a year. Vaccine development is incredible.

Covid isn't safe. You may be one that is prone to an adverse reaction - that, unfortunately, is built into your DNA and no vaccine can 'alter' your DNA - only 'grey' the alien and his mates who is cloaked above the Earth awaiting his next victims.

Now I'm being equally daft as an anti-vaxxer.
