Hi,
Is it worth getting the protection plan for the iPad2? I bought a iPad for my father in law and you get one year of repairs as standard. After which, your stuffed if anything goes wrong. So it seems you can extend the cover to two years. Can you get any more support after the first two years are up?
cheers,
Rob
IMHO, and this is prob waaaay wrong, but there is bog-all to go wrong with an iPad compared to a laptop or desktop.
I've dropped, flung, whacked and generally abused my iPad 1 for almost 2 years now, and it's fine. Will replace with iPad 3, so warranty too long and thus no use.
I reckon that makes this a 'no' to buying AppleCare.

Home insurance ?
So little to gi wrong unless you physically smash it off a wall !
Given how red-hot Apple's aftercare is generally, I'd err towards not bothering.
Buy from John Lewis, you get 2 years free warranty and can add a third for £75 which covers you for accidental damage.
