Sent off my 1st Gen Nano a couple of months ago. Received the latest touch screen as a replacement.
Result.

Excellent news. I'm waiting on my replacement. I was beginning to think it had been lost in the post until I checked the Apple website repair bit. Happy days!

I think they told people it's a like for like replacement so people would bother to send their first gens in and Apple save some costs.
