Does anyone here use a bumper top scratch guard? Something like this: https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/WC807314/protector-rear-bumper-carbon-fibre-look-t4-90-03/?gclid=CN7flo_Yq9ECFUQ6Gwod6JUA2A

I changed my car last week and the top of the rear bumper on the old one was seriously scratched up from a combination of dogs, equipment and dirt being scraped in and out of the boot!

Are the protectors above any good or are they just a faffy alternative that'll leave the bumper looking naff as it ages?

Will

I have a vinyl one fitted but would have preferred a hatchbag style liner with flap (not available on my car at the moment)

You could just buy some of the scotch guard material/tape that doubles as helicopter/frame tape.

I managed to get enough to do my bike for about £20 so a strip big enough for what you need should be cheaper.

Forgotten the number of the stuff you need but a bit of googling will soon find it. Think I got it from eBay in the end.

My Dad's got an aluminium aftermarket one fitted, also to prevent dog scratches, and looks great in my view. Super sticky double sided tape that came with it has done the job nicely.

Think I'll go down the line of a genuine item designed for purpose as don't want to botch something!

rockthreegozy - where'd you get the vinyl one? Was looking at them too....

JamesD - I am not sure about the Alu ones. I think the black one might look better on my vehicle. Do you know what brand your Dad went for?
