He sounded like Morgan Freeman.

Very intelligent, articulate bloke Michael Johnson ... to go alongside his majestic running and gold running shoes.

Wow. Best pundit/commentator the BBC have got IMO. I can't begin to imagine the pressure on Jess' shoulders before the event. Great vid, thanks for the link

Wow, what a great piece of work, really spine-tingly.
And Jess did it, in style. Such a great effort from such a tiny figure. Wonderful.

He's well cool, I'm glad the BBC have pretty much adopted him.

Perspective + novelty + breadth + depth = refreshing.

The form was a bit hammy, but I'd like to see more in the way of insightful, journalistic and/or investigative pieces.

Black guy with morgan freeman voice

You mean he's black, and has a deep voice?! Oh my god! No way!

Mystical kind of language

Not at all. Listen to the language used. Not mystical at all. A bit flowery in places, perhaps.

Thin red line soundtrack

Dunno. Not seen the film. Sounded like a stock classical soundtrack piece.

Slow motion shots

Well, duh. It's about a sport. Of course it will contain super slo-mo HD mega shots.

cliched yawn

That's your post, that is.
