I have got a hold of a Trimble GPS receiver and I am getting very accurate results from it. (Fixes within 1 - 2m.)
However, despite the very accurate fixes, the HDOP value sits at about 1.5 to 2.5.
How can this be? I thought you had to have a HDOP of less than 1 to get a "good" fix?
I have tried Google but the pages I have found suggest HDOP should be less than 1.
Any takers on this obscure question?
