I think G means that if you blow on hole 4 you'll get a G note.
If I'm right, try this......
blow hole 4
suck hole 4
blow hole 5
suck hole 5
blow hole 6
suck hole 6
suck hole 6
blow hole 7
You should get a major scale. It will sound like doh, ray, me, fa, soh, la.......

Yup - it's a chromatic harp - you use the slidey thing to get the sharp and flat notes, unlike a diachromatic 10 hole harp, where you need to 'bend' the reeds to get the forementioned notes.
Got a couple upstairs! Wouldn't have thought they'd be worth much 2nd hand but the last time I looked, they were about £50 new (prolly more now....).
why not learn to play it? Or can you already?
Chromatic ones are harder to play - but more versatile
sound great when played well - think stevie wonder
