The padding - we live in the Marsden, West Yorks.
Running along the pavement, at every house wall is a little black 'cable tel' access box, every few hundred yards there's a bigger 18" x 2ft'ish 'Cable Tel' access manhole.
Local 'folklore' is that 'one of the main national, arterial' cables runs up our road - a shorter route and less disruption than taking it up the main A62.
Thing is, none of us are connected and no-one seems to know if we can be - so, how do I find if there is anything in them there 'access boxes' that we could be connected to?
It'd be bliddy great if we could - living in the beautiful but butt end of nowhere village leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to broadband speed etc.....
