If you do, what do you think of it?

Serious amounts of want but would appreciate opinions from users.

Serious amounts of want +1

Just not sure what I would use it for.

Ben Cathro has one, I know him on Facebook but he also runs a coaching business called Sick Skills in Scotland and I think runs or sponsors a race team also.

If you look up his Youtube or FB accounts you'll see a lot of posts about his new Mavic Pro Drone and some wee vids as he gets to know it.

In a few weeks I'll be moving to Geneva, just at the start of the Jura range. I figure the tracking feature would be cool and probably give better footage than the usual shakey go pro fodder.

Discussed on here a while back:

GoPro Karma looks like an interesting package too - less features than the Mavic but you get a stand-alone camera and stabiliser.

I'd love to have either, but no idea what I'd actually use it for.

Thanks for the link. The karma is too big so a no go for me. I'm thinking of having the mavic in a MULE or similar.

I found that offer the first "ooooh ahhh" period of GoPro ownership passed I never used the thing, actually making something that other people find interesting is bloody hard work it seems.

I'm fairly sure a drone would have a slightly longer life, but I'm sure after a summer of playing with it, and I think more drone edits 'dropping' on YT it would end up an even more expensive paperweight.
