[Closed] Anyone Had Plantar Fasciitis?/ Why "Sports" Physios Are Not Necessarily All That

Well done for finding the thread. I've got this, brought on by my spectacularly flat feet and penchant for playing football and squash. I wear trainers designed to stop my feet from pronation (do the same job as insoles I guess) & stretching the calves and soles of the feet. Never been so bad that I can't walk, but still very painful. Hope your missus is okay

I would go for a practice golf ball rather than a tennis ball, it really gets into the arch, that and an excellent physio in Swansea sorted mine out.

To repeat myself, find a physio who will acupunture it. I used Paul Joyce in Milton Keynes.

Since previous posts I've had another cortisone shot at the end of January, and on consultants advice switched my 'normal' work shoes to something from Fitflops. The combination has just about cured it. Back to running a couple of times a week. Insoles did nothing for me.
