before you say it - I don't want an iphone. dont want to spend £45 a month on a contract, don't want to spend a ton and get a cheaper contract. I want a free phone on a £30 contract, which I can get on t-mobile.
does anyone have one, and are they OK? I want webbrowsing, touch screen, email, and apps sound like a good idea.
what is the STW collective opinion?

Not got one, but did give it serious consideration. All the reviews shout about the battery life being terrible. My previous phone (N95 mk1) was pretty pants on battery life, so I didn't want to repeat the experience.
Ended up with an E71 - which is great. Won't bore you with a review of that, since you asked about the G1. Have you seen the 'G2' articles ?
