So because someone decided they wanted to toast some marshmellows around a fire on a bridge over the Thames they've shut the dartford crossing, seeing as it's about a 40 mile tailback is anyone stuck?

Not sure you can avoid the disruption caused by the crossing if you want to go to Kent.

docrobster, if it's still screwed and you'll be hitting London late use the old route - A1, City, A2 / A20, M20. It's not that much longer if you hit London late.
