Not in at the moment, but waiting on an e-mail. I need to make some system changes at work, but I need to know what to change, thus the e-mail.

Until then I'm carrying on as normal.

Yes 12 hours minimum during the week, but weekends 8 hours is deemed sufficient. Go figure that if you can.

barnsleymitch, do they make you do those hours? Most nhs trusts seem to be trying to get away from that. Plus you need 11 hours between shifts in nhs according to my director of nursing. 'My' nursing staff (for 'tis I who has the unenviable task of looking ater everyone's leave and rota) love doing long days and having 4 days off a week. Mind you, only a couple of them ask to do them all in one go.

Yeah, but the rest of the week, I look after the kids while my wife's at work. It saves us a fortune in child care fees, but it does start to wear a bit thin after a while. Then again, I suppose I'm lucky to have a full time job with a reasonable salary in the current financial climate, so I'll stop moaning now 😉

Middle of a 4 hour surgery. Then waiting for the phone to ring - I love weekends!

I'll hopefully finish around midnight tonight and then it's a day off in Valencia tomorrow until my flight at around 10pm. A day off in lieu for both days so that's ok. Oh and it's warm and sunny and doesn't appear to have rained in years.

I'm in today and tomorrow and at least one day next weekend. Baby sitting contractors here too, pretty boring day as I have little work that needs doing. Oh and it's 30 C outside and pretty much the same in the office as the aircon is dead.

Left home last sunday straight after the mini dh (last ride) and will get home on the 23rd (next ride, not that I'm counting). I've spent 9 of the last 18 weeks out of the UK, 8 in south africa and 1 in egypt over 5 trips. After this I'm unemployed though so will have some time to make up for it.

Marin County, Cali

I work six days a week. It's the price of owning my own business.

And on Sunday I ride to the church of the singletrack.
