Luckily and also unluckily I am on half term.

I'm starting to feel hungry which I'm hoping is a good sign.

The only thing I can stomach so far is warm bread (not quite toasted).

I just wish I knew if it was food poisoning or norovirus.
Food poisoning is 24-48h.

Maybe it's neither. Perhaps you've contracted ebola; are you bleeding out of your eyes yet?

I had it for about a week. Bad bad times.

If you're starting to feel hungry it's a good sign.

Well after feeling cocky and craving pizza I tried 2 slices of pizza (plain) and now I feel shocking.

My stomach is so tender.

I had it, or something like it last year, one day back at work, and I then spent the night on the loo, or shivering and sweating in bed. Followed almost immediately by what seemed to be just a cold, but went onandonandonandonandon, from the beginning of January, until somewhere around the end of March, and even then, I felt wrung out and really not at all well for pretty much the rest of the year. I didn't know the human head could hold so much green goo, or lungs, for that matter. Seemed to really aggravate various old muscle injuries, too.
It's only now I'm actually starting to feel like my old self. Obviously some sort of viral infection, not something I ever want again.
I do, indeed, feel your pain. Hope you feel much betterer soon. 🙂

Well day 5 and I haven't raced for the toilet in 4 hours. I'm hoping this is the turning point!

I need to build my new yeti!

You will want to stay away from fatty foods and dairy products while you're recovering.

Today does seem to be a better day. Still as weak as a kitten though.

My daughter spent last night chucking up so we are on norivirus watch. I think it was the chicken she ate from the fridge though, as that was clearly what came back up 7 hours after it went down, looking pretty similar, and she was the only one who had it.

Toilet buddies!

Molgrips, hope it was just a simple in/out process with the bad chicken and nothing has taken hold. Neither food poisoning nor norovirus are much fun for anyone nearby.

Must say, Redwoods (Mrs Onzadog) has been a star.

Not sure if its norovirus but there has been a bug going around work almost clockwise in our office from desk to desk. I was last to get it, was awful I went from fine to 'I'm going home' in about 5 minutes. Someone said its not the kind if thing you think you have got, or know your starting with (like a cold) it just happens. I got home and had to ask a neighbour for toilet roll as I couldn't make it 4 houses down to the village shop. Spent 3 days in the bathroom lying in a sleeping bag drinking water all day. My fiancée was working away so I told her to just stay in London till I was back on terra firma. Tummy still glugging a week and a half later.

Yep. I went to bed fine, then woke up in the early hours, thinking, hmmm, stomach doesn't feel quite right, maybe I ought to get to the bathroom, damn gotta...
Just about got to the bathroom door, and it was a bloody good thing the loo seat was up! Found out first hand what projectile vomiting is all about. 😐
Came close to camping out on the floor, as well.
Deeply unpleasant.

After taking care of Mrs.C all day, i'm waiting to see if it was the chicken nuggets she had....

Or if i'm next.

What's the incubation period? I have my electrolyte drink, cream crackers, baby wipes and dia-fix dysentary tablets all ready to go.

Prepared, I am.

Once I had no job and got very sad. Too many chocolate biscuits saw me losing a stone.

Odd week that was.

Tip 1: NO DAIRY
Tip 2: NO FAT
Tip 3: FLAT COLA

Day 5 and I've been toilet free today. Even kept some toast down.

Hopefully a turning point as my abdomen pain is better too.

My belly is still gurgling away to itself so I don't feel out of the woods yet.

Just had a poo not proceeded by cramps. Must be worth an extra step on two on the bristol scale as well!

Amazed at how quickly it came on. Went for a run on Tuesday, had dinner, went for a swim. Joints started aching in the pool but otherwise fine. Not been swimming in a while so put it down to that. However, felt like death in the shower and even worse by the time I got home. Few minutes after that, I was in the bathroom and didn't come out of there until this evening.

What an adventure.

Mine started Friday night,I've never been so ill.
Got home from work feeling a bit rough but by 9 o'clock the floodgates had opened.
Every hour on the hour with no more than 2 seconds to make it to the lav, head in the basin while sat on the loo with it shooting out of both ends was a particular low point. The volume of 'stuff' was massively impressive,no idea I had that much inside of me.
The aching pains are horrendous, every joint is killing me along with a banging headache.
Going to risk leaving my beloved toilet for a few minutes and take the dog out for a walk, really could do with some fresh air although I seem to be walking like a 90 year old. Just done a little test trump and all is fine and dry so should be ok.
Currently living off ice water and Fox's Glacier Fruits

Sent from my Porcelain Telephone using Crapatalk

As much as this pains me to admit, my day 4 test trump went horrendously wrong. Luckily I was on the toilet floor and made it just about.

It's a horrible horrible bug.

Blimey.

Started feeling ill yesterday afternoon, come 7pm or so the most violent puking I've ever had. Ok so I'm not particularly experienced in that area but it was 6 or 8 times at a sitting rather than the usual 2, and far harder.

Wife left me on the sofabed at about 10.30, well at 12 my oldest kid starts up as well. We both lay on the sofabed with me not sleeping and her watching a film and puking every so often. So not a lot of sleep!

That was my wife's birthday too 🙂
