It's a brand new Mac - I really doubt it is malware (and it doesn't do it on any other thread so I believe it's the thread at issue).

BTW, I am using the latest iOS and Safari.

I alerted the mods about it earlier today but they don’t seem to have done anything about it yet – it seems a potentially serious security issue.

BTW, I have just tried it in Chrome and it didn't do it, so it might be limited to Safari.

It's the Russians trying to get it shut down. I'm using Chrome too, so it may be browser specific.

User error, I saw it.

Is it a specific single page within the thread?  It might be due to hotlinked content, I can perhaps review it if I know where I'm looking.

Scratch that - I've found it I think.

I don't think it was hostile per se (just Safari being special), but I've edited the offending post just in case.  Yell if you're still having issues.
