As title really, anyone used this lot for a cheap gym option...

Been a while since I belonged to a gym and back then it was the £50/month David Lloyd option if you wanted anything nice-ish.

£50 for DL that's cheap! My only advice is that Matrix gym equipment is shit, techno-gym is much better. If you want to do some indoor cardio cycle training then you can't beat a watt bike.

Frosty it was a VERY long time ago, well over a decade and I wasn't getting racket sports in that but you've just answered my question in the back of my mind about whether it costs more now 😆

I've recently signed up with a new The Gym Group gym just down the road. Only been in for induction so far, but planning to get in there tomorrow

I'm a member - it's nothing fancy, no sauna, pool or anything - but plenty of equipment.

The one I frequent does get quite busy at peak times. ie between 5 and 8 weekdays, so that time is best avoided.

Being cheap, it draws a cheap crowd. 😉

No frills but have the essentials, clean, cheap. Used the one in Nottingham. A few bits were damaged (bikes mostly,) and quite slow to get things fixed though. No fixed term contract so not the end of the world if it isn't for you
