Anyone buy tickets today - got in via a pre-sale link and shocked to see £55 a ticket!!  I'n unclear as to whether I'm being punted by Ticketmaster into their after market site or whether they really are this much!!

Seems to be the going rate for someone performing at one of the larger venues.  I paid that much for Joe Satriani at the O2 in Manchester.

My mistake. Slash, not Slosh.

As you were.

At the height of my GnR enthusiasm I'd have paid for this.  I just missed the 90's Milton Keynes Bowl and it wasn't until the O2 with the mid era line up until I saw them.

I've watched Slash age on TV and although I admire his skills, its all a bit repetitive to me now, and he's a much more robotic character on stage.  Therefore I'm of mixed opinion - would I pay £55 to go and see Slash? Meh, no.   Would I pay £55 to have a few beers and listen to some loud Live RnF'R that I can identify with?  Yeah.

And as a big part of me of me associates with and enjoyed Axl's former antics I'd argue the same about GNR as well, the current lack of energy doesn't grab me.  Thats not a criticism, I know they are older and have grown up now.

Inflation - you're not hiring slash, your contributing to the total shared cost of the evening and stuff like staff venue wages, buildings costs etc have increased over time

however a mate asked me if I wanted a ticket for Fleetwood Mac at the MEN arena and it was £180 !! that was silly

What's equally as surprising is the price of his new signature firebird, £769 for an epiphone!😲

Well, in the time it took to be offended by the price and then decide to go anyway...they sold out!  General sale tomorrow to try for!

You did well, we saw them at the MEN a few years ago, only(!) paid £80 a ticket I think, and they were, basically, crap. A particular highlight was, when Stevie Nickswas wittering on about writing the song she was about to sing, getting a bit bored, deciding to go for a pee, finding the loos, having a pee, buying a couple of beers and getting back to find she was still going...

Use the money to go and see 10 new bands you haven't heard before. You'll have a much better time, like up close and personal and might actually see someone young and decent, not old hasbeens  😀

I saw Slash at Download a couple of years ago - he wasn't bad. He sure likes to show off his guitar collection by using a different one for each song!

I was a huge GnR fan in the early 90s (less so now) and I've seen...

- GnR at Milton Keynes in 93

- Velvet Revolver twice in the noughtys

- Slash at Download a few years ago

- GnR at Download this year

Best was the first Velvet Revolver gig, worst was GnR this year.  Slash at Download was good, but I'm happy I saw him at a festival rather than paying (FIFTY FIVE POUNDS!) to see him.

Slash needs to up his game, Joe Bonamassa is £75+ for his cheap seats.  I'm guessing his suits and shades aren't cheap.

Blimey, I got tickets for the Glasgow date but was sitting waiting to press "add to cart"

Myles Kennedy is also bloomin' brilliant so I don't mind the price.

I saw GnR in 87 for £5 and still think I was ripped off - equal worst gig ive been too with Springsteen born in USA tour

Absolute shit

Compared to the might Joey Landreth in London last week for £16.50, Would have happily paid £100

If it was the Gibson version it'd be just over $6000 in the USA!

Used to love GnR, back in the days of apeitite for destruction and he's an amazing guitarist but after reading his biography, I don't think I'd care to see him live.

It's all about his interplay with the best voice in Rock at the moment. I'm in.

Great live and if you want to get a taste of Myles Kennedy the Alter Bridge recording from the Albert hall with the Parallax orchestra is outstanding.

It's not just about Slash.

I'll be in Glasgow loving it. Sunday night gig, Monday off work .yes.

IMHO his playing a touch overrated but enjoyable all the same.

Stadium gigs are never going to be cheap. As for signature models, £700 isn't too bad for a nice, distinctive guitar (is it?). Unfortunately most of them exist to persuade punters that it is somehow special and that if you want to have a chance of replicating your hero's playing style you really ought to buy it. Which of course is complete bollocks.
