If so,how much to remove and replace 13 ridge tiles with a 'dry ridge system'? Also to remove first two rows of tiles either side of ridge and replace felt and lath beneath these two rows, then re-build.Been quoted £700,am i bieng ripped off or a fair price? Thanks.

Thanks bruneep. The work's actually been done today.Initially we were just having the ridge replaced but upon removal we were told the felt was shot too.So just curious of the price.Perhaps ive been watching too many rogue trader programmes? But looks like he done a good job.

sounds like a (short) days work to me, so with men, van, laders, bit of material etc that's a fair price.

You could do it the proper way, put up a safe means of access etc then you'd be looking at £1000+ just to put up a scaffold so really you're getting a cheap job.
