Father-in-Law North has a Mk3, having had a 1.6 Mk2. It's quicker (being a 2.0), but he preferred the ride and cosiness of the cabin of the Mk2.

I have to say, it's been an ace fun car - we've been to the south of France in it twice, and all over the UK. Mrs North drives it like she stole it 😀 and it has been way more practical than people expect. As evidenced by:
