I've got a Worcester 240 combi boiler wich needs a new expansion vessel. Anyone out there know the likely cost of having one fitted before I phone around.
Contact the Worcester group service centre - they do a fixed price repair including all parts . £210 - we did this recently.
If you can, get a big one!
We had years of trouble with ours, getting four new ones over about 5 years courtesy of our Baxi Heat Team insurance.
Then we finally had a couple of old rads replaced and got a gurt big expansion vessel which, touch wood, has been ok.
Incidentally, a quick fix to tide you over involves pressurising the old expansion vessel with a bicycle pump; there should be a presta valve on it...
it qualifies for the £400 grant for replacement if that helps
Thanks for the replies. The fixed price repair is £168 in Cardiff, will probably go with that.
