I've just got a new washing machine and after plumbing it in, it tells me there is no water flow when there clearly is. I can hear it going into the machine, it's filling up and it will go through a cycle but about 4 or 5 times through the cycle it stops and tells me that there is no water flow.

What could be the problem?

Low pressure or something restricting the flow. We had one that had a bit of plastic flash that needed snapping off. Might just be a kinked pipe.

You bought an indesit then.

Take the pipes off the machine after turning off the water, and then slowly turn the water back on over a bucket or the sink, may be an airlock.

Make sure that the drain hose is at the correct height above the machine. If the end of the drain hose is too low, the water will drain out of the machine by syphon.
If the drain hose is pushed down the drain pipe this can happen.
