We will be in touch
The End by The Doors
while several other readers chose the more subversive Sex Pistols cover.
Cover? Duh!
Dragon force - through the fire and the flames.
Garbage - Run Baby Run
Oh yes!
Queen..Who wants to live forever.
Obvious....
Fight Club had it right.
Where Is My Mind by The Pixies.
Please no, I hate The Pixies, hugely overrated IMHO, and I don't want to go to heaven with a headache.
What hatter said ^ ^ ^
Hollyoaks theme. Or Thunder**** by the Wildhearts.
The Monty Python music of course.
Once our old universe has expanded and cooled to near absolute zero, the stars have gone out and the quasars stopped quasing, and it turns out the total mass of matter in the universe is just enough for gravity to slow and reverse its expansion, so all the cold ex-galaxies, creeping at first but accelerating to significant fractions of the speed of light, rushes together exploding then collapsing into a black hole... Probably about then I'd expect to hear Monty Python crackling across the the ether. That or that keyboard cat. I may have strayed from the point of this thread.
"So long, farewell, auf weidersehen, goodnight"
...probably something shorter like Countdown: didly dum, didly dum, didly dum, da da... dum.
Well ladies and gentlemen it seems fitting that we take this opportunity to play you a song that's never been played on radio four before, and clearly now never will be again

Nobody forces you to listen, and there are loads more who love them.
Seasons in the abyss?
Or the theme from 28 days later
Johnny Cash - The Man Comes Around.
Maybe a bit upbeat, but as background music then finishing only on the last 10-15 seconds;
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts,
And I looked and behold: a pale horse.
And his name, that sat on him, was Death.
And Hell followed with him.
You're not wrong, but it really would ruin my start of the afterlife.
This sums up the British national psyche to me, perfectly.
Something raucous to dance around to for a few minutes then we can all scream along 🙂
Pretty much anything by Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
This, obviously. Promised Future Aeons. The time signatures are confusing as hell.
For obvious reasons, it's what I'd be doing if the world was about to end. Even if the nearest woman was actually an alpaca (I jest).
