I lost my phone going through security at Gatwick south terminal last week. Bah.
A friend called me later that day and it was answered by one of the guys at security, he said it would go to lost property and to check there on the way back.
Which I did, 3 days later, it wasn't there. It's now nearly 2 weeks later.
Anyway... I suspect it's gone and don't have much hope, but thought I'd try asking here... anyone have a similar (and successful) experience? Or does anyone know about the procedures at Gatwick, is it likely to be gone, or perhaps sitting in a box somewhere at security until someone can be bothered to carry it across the airport?
It's a pretty distinctive phone and it's logged on their database, so I doubt it's in lost property but unidentified.
