Last tues and weds my 4 year old had the voms, then sore tummy for a few days . On sat my wife got it. She puked sat and sun, and hasnt been able to eat since without puking it up. Only water and dioralyte stay down. Today we got anti vom meds from doc she felt better and drank 1/4 glass of flat coke. Puked it up 2hrs later. Currently awaiting. Bloods they took at docs this morn. No temp, no abdominal tenderness, other than ache, no motions since sat. Wtf is going on.

Dunno, but it may not be too late to quarantine them and save yourself.

Likely gastroenteritis, given the fact your son had it so recently...
However 6 days is getting towards the limit of simply ' riding it out'. Is she very thirsty? Is her tongue really dry?
The important thing is to ensure shes getting fluids in - the above might mean she isn't...
Any blood in the vom?

In the interim try little and often of the fluids, but if shes 'dry' then iv fluids might be needed?

Water and dioralyte go in fine, so not dehyradted. Just knackered and making me look after kids.

Have you seen what he gets up to on his silly bike? 😯

And he is entrusted with looking after people. 😯 😯 😯

The realty is that its most likely a ' long' version of the bug threats going round 🙁
Unfortunately ' knackered partner' aren't NICE criteria for admission!
Your gp will get back to you with the bloods. 7 days is usually the cut off for these sorts of things (or a bit longer if shes able to drink and blood is fine...)
I do feel for you though.

Drinking flat coke isn't going to help now is it? All that acid in an already upset stomach!

Try and think back. What was the last thing you put in your wife's mouth?

She needs a Big Mac and large fries. She'll be fine.

sorry to hear she's still poorly

did the doc get back to you after her last tests (if not, likely they were normal but worth asking) ?
does he/she know your wife's still at it ?

blood tests last week, results Friday showed everything operating within normal parameters. She seems better this morning. Thanks for your advice.

If she's just starting to eat again the keep it to simple foods, I'd avoid cheese really. Chick, Rice, Potatoes that sort of thing until her stomach is ready again, Gastroenteritis is a nasty little persistent bug.

I remember when I had this a few years ago, I didn't eat for about 8 days in total, just drank and lay on the bathroom floor. Was fine though, just kept drinking.
