From the Copenhagen area?

If you had two small kids and had to work near the docks, where would you live?

Sweden. But I'm not Danish (it's actually not a bad suggestion, but I'll add a 😉 for the lovely dansk jävlar in case it goes down the wrong way).

[edit - for context]

Don, not planning anything as such.. just something that might come up.. and might be benefical, haven't decided yet.

Sweden.. yeah I heard that but I need to be able to cycle to work. That bridge looks long and I bet it's a bugger in a headwind 🙂

Only takes 35 mins from where I live in Sweden on the train to Kastrup. Malmö would be quicker.

Malmo is lovely mol. I have friends there (bellevuewagen area) and have visited many, many times. My wife lived there for several years before we met. I'd move there tomorrow, given half a chance. Copenhagen is nice but seemed outrageously expensive.

Can you cycle on that bridge? I think it's a bit too far though really. What is wrong with Copenhagen that makes everyone want to live in Sweden? Just cost?

All you Malmo people then - does anyone have a very vague idea of how much rent might be for a 2 bedroom flat/house in somewhere quiet and pleasant? With parks etc?

Vesterbro, Enghave plads around there, is the "hipster" place at the monement, quite close to the docks. a fun hood, good deal of couples, younger with kids, but also a lot of nightlife, culture.
I live at Sankelmarksgade, try look it up at google, maps
Apartment is expensive, heavy... , like 200.000£ for a 3- 3.5 room !
-and yes malmø, is def cheaper. No cycling on the bridges, no lanes, its illegal!
But the train from malmø, is very fast, and get you quick to the heart of copenhagen, and you have some very good singletrack at the wood called ""genarp, not that far from malmø.
