Could anyone tell me if a "front suspension leg/strut" is classed as a mechanical component?
I have a problem with the wifes car and the main dealer says this part is not covered by the warranty (or happiness guarantee) as they call it.
Any idea?

They (presumably the dampers) do wear ad eventually fail. However, if it's a new car and in warranty, it's something I wouldn't expect nor be overly happy with! If the car's used/out of factory waranty, then they'll state wear and tear to get out of it.

Eye Jimbo they have said it's wear & tear so not covered but I wanted some 2nd opinions before I kicked off.
As they have messed us about in the past.
