Casting around for summer hol venues and this could be an option... island hopping down the former Yugoslavian coast and possible a boat back north to the car...
Any experiences, thoughts, feedback or recommendations for a self-propelled, non-organised trip? What's it like... anyone been? I know there is the THree Island XC stage race but beyond that...?
I travelled up the coast a few years ago as part of a Euro cycle tour, and hopped a few islands. I didn't have anything booked in advance, but there were lots of campsites and ferry connections were straightforward. There were some good climbs, from what I remember, and it can be pretty hot in summer, but you can jump into lovely clear blue water pretty much anywhere if you fancy a swim!
I imagine knowledge will be spotty..
