Got some cheap Trekmates Rannoch gaiters I've had for a few years which need new elastic - fixable and a faff or I could buy some these http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/berghaus-gtx-gaiter-p202625
Seen them in the flesh and they are much harder-wearing than my current broken ones, very well made too. Anyone had any experience of them they'd like to impart?

I've used Berghaus goretex gaiters for years through some truly awful conditions. I've got a couple of pairs of yeti extreme for winter use and some older GTX gaiters. I have to say that I'd never consider going back to cheap rustly gaiters. You get what you pay for!
might be worth a try - my trekmates gators broke, the clip holding the strap snapped and I emailed them to enquire if there was a fix - they were most kind and sent me some replacements for free.
