[Closed] Another Down Jacket thread - anyone have Montane Anti-Freeze or North Star?

Have spent the last month trying on every flipping make of down jacket and my favourite for fit and a few other things was the Montane North Star. While googling for cheapest, I came across the Anti-Freeze.

The North Star has a hood and slightly more down (I think accounted for by the hood?). They are both 800+ fill power.

What do we think? Hood really necessary?

North Star is available for around £160. Anti-freeze is coming in at £140ish. They look identical other than the hood. Cheers all.
