yep. From gearbest. Took about a month to arrive. Really like it. GPS is great and works well with Strava. Not 100% convinced by quality of HRM but then that's wrist sensors for you.

It's ridiculous for the money. Charge lasts a week, depending on how many and how long activities (charged it tuesday night after a grim ride. Only used as stepcounter and heart rate since and it's on 89% battery now). Looks a lot better than garmins etc I recon (had a Fenix II for a short wile but didn't get on with it).

Only thing is that it's not very water resistant. Can't remember the figures. I wear it for showering but it's not meant for swimming, and as I like the thing so much I'd not take it surfing.

Maddeningly, you cannot view GPS data anywhere but on the watch face – you can’t even look at it in the iOS or Android Amazfit app that you sync the watch with. This means GPS records are only on the 4GB hard drive of the watch and meant that we never bothered fiddling about looking at them.

Other running watch set-ups allow you to take a deeper look at stats on your workouts, whether that’s on your phone or computer. Here, the cool little map of where you ran is just a squiggle on a watch screen, with no map behind it. It’s frustrating, and means you will never really be able to see if you’ve improved by looking at the raw data, such is how it’s presented.

To add to this disappointment, the app is meant to communicate with Strava, a more popular social exercise analysis app, but basically it doesn’t work, and the interfaces within the Amazfit app are frustrating.

Lame

odd.

I upload to strava via the android app - don't take my phone on local rides any more - and so far (about 3 months) it's worked fine all the time. Rides are up and quicker to view in strava than when uploaded straight from phone when I've taken it out. (More than can be said of the fenix.)

That said, I just use strava and don't use the Amazfit app for anything much.

@gingerbllr That review is from March last year. I did read it but have also heard that the Amazfit app has had major updates since then which I believe has fixed loads of issues.

@johnx2 Thanks, price is ridiculous compared to others. I'm not bothered about it being waterproof, mainly want it for recording running/rides and like that I can store music on without having to take my phone.

Also believe they have just announced a new version, Amazfit Pace 2 that is waterproof to 50 meters. Only available in Chinese at the moment and the price is quite steep compared to the original

you'll gather from an £83 punt I'm now a convert, though I see it's gone up. Haven't used music functions and am unlikely to.

Hmm... International version is £78 at the minute (Got an Email reducing it to £70 from them)

I'm guessing the English and International version are the same

Maybe, strange.

For anyone interested, can currently get the Bright orange one for about £67 using the code SticksHuami if you don't mind the colour. (No idea when the code expires)

Thanks johnx2 think I'll be buying one later.
