They were both tweaked by Burton and slammed 2" and s**te the pants off me miles more then driving a cossie ever did. Cossies seemed civilised, 4i's were ****in brutal and commanded respect even though they were far slower
The Cossie looks so much better than the Escort.
Unless you live in Essex, like.
Most of the RS1700's ended up in South africa i seem to remember, ford needed to go 4 wheel drive to try and compete with the quattro, so engineering went into developing the cossie, whilst an immediate challenger was tried with the RS200
From memory that lot, loved the history of ford race cars i did.
Drove a RS200 once, that was fun.
I was a ford man in the past. This was my favourite cleaned it more than I drove it. 😳

I've always wanted a Sierra Cosworth. Shame Fords are so much better and so much more boring nowadays.
