I am a long term user of outlook and I would continue to use it but it doesn't sync to multiple google calendars so I'm looking for an alternative. I want to be able to read email and look at calendars offline as well as everything syncing nicely when online.

Any suggestions?

I stopped using outlook as it takes ages to load sync and it became a real ball ache to use, I now use Gmail and its a joy to use in comparison Sync well with my Android and Calender (also google) it also will merge all your contacts and emails from outlook.

I looked at gmail as it can be used offline but it isn't very good at notifying me of new mail unless I have chrome open all the time. I sometimes forget and close all the browser windows. I expect I will learn to leave chrome open if I have to but I'd like an alternative.

You can get a gmail notifier that sits in the background

I hear there is something called 'Eudora' or 'Eudora Lite'. Supposed to be really advanced.
