Driving down to Chatel on Friday/Saturday and I'm just trying to get the route sorted in Google maps.
Normally after leaving the D1005 at Thonon I would go onto the D902 then turn left at the big roundabout after a tunnel onto the D22 towards Abondance/Chatel but Google keeps diverting the route around that bit of road.
Is it closed at the minute for some reason? Don't want to just follow where I would usually go to end up having to double back and inevitably get lost. I've tried Google but it would seem that all I can get is crap about dangerous roads.
They road is closed for a while yet due to a landslip

I'd go via Morgins, or you can take the Google detour
Blimey. Detour is via D21 and D32. Morgins way is a bit of a trek and trying to avoid having to buy a vignette.
You only need a vignette for Swiss motorways not general roads
