Heading to the Alps (Flying to Geneva) on Thursday night for 4 days on the board. Any good reports of snow? Forecast shows no new snow this week so anyone been out? Where was good where is pants?
To be honest, it's not great at the moment. Piste conditions are excellent as the weather has been cold and clear, but off-piste isn't good. It hasn't snowed significantly in nearly 2 weeks and everything got annhialated by the wind last week.
That's for the Tarentaise valley, but applies to pretty much everywhere in the French Alps from Portes du Soliel down to the 3 Valleys. South of that (2 Alpes, Serre Chevalier, etc.) got a good dump a few days ago - that was OUR storm but a ****ing great high pressure over the UK (what are the odds!?) deflected it south.
it dumped a load of snow in munich two days ago.... not much help for you, though.
