The Two Ronnies.
A very close second would be Ronnie Barker and David Jason in Open All Hours.

Pete & Dud + 1. Tarzan sketch every time. Great leg for the role
Morcambe and Wise. They had their own shows on television for 32 years. Their most popular show got 28 million viewers - more than half the UK population at the time.
Their most popular show got 28 million viewers - more than half the UK population at the time.
To be fair, there was nothing on the other side at the time...
tom and barbara good
mark and lard! radio's never been the same
Baddiel and Skinner- live and unplanned
He said COMEDY duo. That means 'funny'
Property double act has to be Morecombe and Wise, they kept it going so long.
The Two Ronnies had the greatest ever scene - Four Candles - but Ronnie Barker and thingy Beckinsale in Porridge were even better.
Agree with all who have said Peter Cook & Dudley Moore.
Lady Vera Fart Teller!
BTW Judy Cooks book 'Loving Peter' is a brilliant insight into his world.
R.I.P Pete n Dud you're Legends!
Reeves and Mortimer c.94
Currently Mitchell and Webb are brilliant in Peep Show, but dire in their Sketch show
There is only one answer...
