Hi All
I am looking for some advice.
I am travelling from Australia to ride the trails at Afan Forest in Wales and need some advice on good places to stay in the area.
I am looking for some good accommodation, near Afan, near a pub and within riding distance of the Trails, so that the wife with parents can go see the sights and I can do the important stuff.
I have been told Rose cottage is very nice.

What else are you doing while you're here?
If I was coming all that way, I'd personally do Glentress/Inners. You could base yourself in Edinburgh and your family will have a MUCH better time.

+1 for Afan Lodge. Smack bang in the middle of the Afan and Glyncorrwg trails with the Sustrans route running past the bottom of the car park for riding straight to the trails. Bar and restaurant are both well stocked and there's a lounge area with comfy sofas where you can watch biking DVDs on the flat screen TV. Rooms are really nice and there's secure bike storage. The family that run it are really friendly too.
I'm off back there in a month, can't wait! 🙂
