Hi,

I am thinking about getting an action camera to be used for recording whilst commuting - maybe helmet mounted - and possibly creating some youtube content.

I don't want to spend hundreds of pounds so looking for any recommendations and hopefully Black Friday deals.

Just got myself a DJI action 6 (but I'm always messing and swapping cameras for my job.)

To be honest it's probably not worth the hike over the action 5 pro which is about 100 less.

I reckon the DJI action cams sit at the top of current market.

The DJI nano is quite a nifty one too.

I know little about action camera's but this DJI Action 4 was mentioned in the PSA thread:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=dji+osmo+action+4

I know an action 6 has just been released (ahh Rone has one...), so this about what there going for now (via a quick search)

I've had the Action 4 for a while and think it's excellent. With the current prices it has to be a steal.

For the more classic action camera go for the DJI Action for the best top of the range and for a good camera at the lower price end go for the Akaso Brave series. Harder to mount but a 360 camera will give you a better overall view, the best options here would be Insta360 or Akaso 360 at each end of the price range. Don't bother with GoPro in my opinion they are not worth the money.
