Spending a weekend up there in April with a mate, don't want to camp, but want somewhere relatively close by where can get food and a beer perhaps and can secure the bikes.
Bunk house / B+B etc is ideal.
Any recommendations / suggestions?

We stayed at the [url= http://thewhitehorse-blencathra.co.uk/ ]White Horse Bunk House[/url]. Some old stables converted to basic but comfortable bunk houses with shared kitchen. Think it worked out at a tenner a head. Whinlatter not far by car. Pub (15m away!) served some quite respectable grub i seem to remember.
