Going Morzine in August and will have 4 bikes between 3 of us.
I might be over thinking this but we're looking for accommodation where we can take bikes inside with us rather than leaving in 'secure' bike storage facilities.
Looking at Apartment Le Pleney - anyone stayed here and taken bikes into the apartment?
It's possible in most apartments. There aren't guards on the doors 🙂 That said its much easier if you have a smaller place rather than a big block. Also the apartments tend to be quite small. If there isn't much spare space. We did it once where we had a large out of town chalet and a couple of spare bedrooms. Most of the secure bike storage is pretty secure, only problem is the shared spaces and having someone else leave the door open. Final point, bikes can get pretty muddy there so you might upset the apartment owner/rep. I've never really thought our bikes are at risk there. There are stories of bikes getting pinched but when you hear the details they've often been left propped up outside the supermarket or in an open garage.
It was more an issue of access and could you physically get bikes into the apartments
