[#2702677]

My wife has just had someone turn into her and im wondering wether to use an accident management company to handle it.

My reasoning is that i had a disputed bump last year and the garage recommended to me by the insurers (Admiral - Sapphire repairers Manchester) did a pretty gash job it transpired later on and things still arent settled over a year later.

I know they give you a like for like car and the insurers tend to get things sorted quicker because of the costs, i also want to use a Mazda dealer this time for repairs.

So just wanted to find out what peoples thoughts are on the matter?

Somebody drove into the wife's car in a carpark and drove off. Somebody else put a note with the fellas reg on her windscreen. She passed it over to an accident management company who provided a car and got everything sorted. Hassle free.

They're probabaly one of the reasons insurance premiums are soaring. They bill the sap who's insurance is liable with p*ss take sums for car hire (£180/day anyone?) etc....

Very true. The flip side is things do get settled surprisingly quickly.

If the AMC fails to get recompense from the insurers for the car hire you will be liable for the sky high charge.

+1
I'm waiting on tenterhooks for a bill from my AMC after our car got written off in October.
We had the hire car longer than we should have, thanks to the AMC losing the paperwork. According to them, this is somehow my fault.
